Application instructions for films
A clean application begins before the first squeegee stroke. The surface, temperature, tools and properties of the respective film all influence the result.
These instructions explain the general steps. The manufacturer's product-specific instructions and the information on the product page always apply as a supplement.
Preparation is the most important step
The surface should be clean, dry, dust-free and suitable for the intended film. Residues from grease, care products or cleaning agents can impair adhesion.
Have the film, squeegee, cutter and, if necessary, application tape ready before you begin. For larger surfaces, it is advisable to position the film first without applying it and mark its intended placement.

The squeegee, felt edge, cutter and other tools should be suitable for the film and the specific application.
Work step by step
Apply the film in manageable sections under control instead of applying the entire surface at once.
Basic application process
- Clean and inspect: Prepare the surface and take any damage or unevenness into account.
- Align: Position and align the film, securing it with an application edge if necessary.
- Apply: Work evenly from the inside out and push out the air in a controlled manner.
- Finish: Check the edges, trim any excess neatly and follow the product-specific instructions.
